Tax Sage Network is an opportunity for experienced tax policy analysts to share their insights with a broader community.

The focus is on tax policy, which is defined broadly to include not only legislative and regulatory activities, but also tax administration and tax communication activities.

With over 80 years of tax policy experience, current members (sages) have insights based on a depth and breadth of experiences encompassing global, national and subnational tax policy.

The Network is designed to be a collaborative approach, since one of the Sage Sayings is "I know how much damage a solo tax policy economist can do, without teaming with tax lawyers, tax accountants, statisticians, and industry specialists."

Our Story

The Founding Members of the Tax Sage Network are Bob Cline and Tom Neubig.  They have over 80 years of tax policy experience working in academia, governments, the private sector and an international research organization.  The Network provides an opportunity to share some relevant experiences as well as comments on current tax policy issues.

The Network welcomes other experienced tax policy sages to participate in sharing their insights.
